Greek legend tells us that the protea was named after Proteus, the son of Poseidon. A sea god who had the power to know all things past, present and future, Proteus would change shape and transform to hide from people seeking his insights. Protea Flowers come in many shapes and forms and therefore symbolises diversity, courage and strength.
This limited edition brooch is for those who are looking for that extra boost of inner strength in their daily life. A little reminder of courage and resilience. It is based on my original pencil illustration and made from digitally printed laser cut acrylic.
