Please indulge me as I chat about this "pinch me" moment. Recently, I wrote an article for the lovely peeps at Colored Pencil Magazine, where I discussed my inspirations, shared tips, and outlined my plans for the future. I feel incredibly honoured to have been given this opportunity, and it's truly humbling to think that pencil artists from across the world are interested in hearing what I have to say.
My work is inspired by the small moments of happiness and nostalgia that often go unnoticed in our busy lives. Whether it's a favourite childhood toy or a simple item like a jam jar, I try to capture the emotional connection that people have with these objects and showcase their beauty in unexpected ways.
Overall, my goal as an artist is to create a sense of connection and understanding between the viewer and the subject matter. I believe that there is beauty in the banality of everyday life, and I hope to inspire others to appreciate the small moments of happiness that make life special.
Above is an excerpt of the article, you can now find both physical and digital copies of the magazine on their website, so please do check it out if you're interested.
