Original pencil drawing of a Black Hooded Sun Orchid, this drawing is from the 100 Days of Flowers projected completed in 2015.

The Black Hooded Sun Orchid is critically endangered and found in only one location in NSW at Botany Bay. It is called sun orchid because the flower opens in warm to hot weather, particularly on bright, sunny days.

This is an original drawing created with Faber Castell Polychromos coloured pencils on 250gsm Bristol artist paper.
